Dear Dad,

Working hard?  I’ll bet you are, but so am I.

I got a real big problem—X-mas.  What am I going to get Mom, Jack + Hank?  I'm going to need your help and judgment.

For Jack I figured an issue (year sub) of Playboy.  For Henry a model out some kind of ship and for Mom, well, that will take a lot more thought.  I’ll think of something extra special for her.  Maybe you could suggest something.

Today, by amtrack, we moved down the river to Namu Bridge, So far, it seems pretty decent.  US Rt 1 from Saigon to DMZ runs across the river here.  It's very vital to all US forces in Vietnam.

I'm glad you took Red to the Colt game.  He's a good Marine!  I'm only sorry we could have been together here.

When you get home, there should be another letter from me.

Well, don't work too hard, in fact, have a coffee break on me!
