Dear Pop,

Well I've done it again!  I need help real bad.  I've been holding this off for a while cause I didn't want to ask you but I got enough on my mind, and Pop I need you are help!

I realize you are busy too and handling my petty financial affairs, pulling me out of a jam is not exactly enjoyable and it is really a pain in the neck!  But would you?

I've got two bills which total $115.  Both of them could have been avoided.  One is that Bible and the other is pictures.  You've got enough pictures of me to fill a damn gallery and why I ever got more beats me.

Believe me, I feel embarrassed and almost ashamed, but what can I do?  I’m sending $25 a month home.  This in due time will reimburse you.  Dad, if these don't get paid, the Navy Department will hang me by my thumbs.  It's my responsibility not yours I know.  For the last time I'm throwing in the towel
