Dear Pop,
I am in land mine warfare school in Da Nang. Tomorrow is my last day, then I go out into the bush.
Haven't gotten a letter in almost 4 weeks but I should get some within the next couple of days. I bought a Kodak Instamatic 124. Film costs (get this) $3.45 for color and they don't sell black and white. I've got some pictures which I will send home.
I'm growing a mustache and it's coming along. It goes well with my Australian bush hat.
I'm just getting over a case of constipation. Must be the change in water etc. It can't be the food. If I can stomach MC Chow, then I can't stomach anything! I don't know where you are -- home? Or at the 7D.? Figure by the time this letter gets to you, you all will be home in the smog and traffic.
26th Marines are the next to be pulled out. We are part of 9th MAB which is being pulled out by Battalions in the 3rd BN is the number one over here
If you can, send me some 124 Kodak Instamatic film, either B&W or color. Makes no difference and I'll send the pictures home.
Not much to say. I'm just waiting on some letters. So until then, I'll keep my head down!
Love to all,
Pete
PS. Would you send me a paperback copy of Julius Caesar? Some guy named Shakespeare or something, Thank you.
