Quang Nam
Dear Mom and Dad,
Well, today a Dad, I got you were regular Sunday letter and I'm glad to hear things are going well at home.
Yes, the 1st Mar. Div, is being yanked out, but it probably won't affect me. I should rotate back to the world into 100 days (Aug. 1).
I am a little further forward at the moment. I came here to Quang Nam with the 2nd fire team as a gunner and were helping out CUPP 2. This is harvest time for rice, I think I've mentioned, and the VC are trying to enter the village for it. Most of the time we ambush ‘em going in or out of the vill.
I'll try to get a few shots of the MD flag.
I asked Jack not to mention anything to you about my cured disease. Evidently he has trouble keeping that young collegiate mouth of his shut!
Things seem encouraging about the investigation on me. I hope things work out.
So my room’s a mess. That's nothing new.
Just wanted to answer your letter. I’m fine and doing well.
Love to all,
Pete
